  1. About the FPU patch...

  3. This patch will update Buzzz! 1.4 to make use of the FPU (math coprocessor) on Macintosh computers equipped with a 68020/030/040 and FPU, which results in noticeable speed gain.

  5. Note that computers with the 68LC040 processor do not have an FPU, and the updated Buzzz! will crash on these machines. They include some Centris/Quadra 610s, the LC 475 and 575, and the new Powerbooks. Use the original version on these machines.

  7. Hopefully the FPU will be detected automatically on future releases, thus preventing unecessary crashes.

  13. This patch cannot work properly while virus detection software is running.  Please make sure that you have disabled any virus detectors before applying the patch.
